SUBMIT A NEW NARRATIVE MATTERS MANUSCRIPT
Narrative Matters: For this section on the personal essay and health policy making, we seek narrative essays based on firsthand encounters with the health care system that explore the personal, ethical, and moral issues of delivering or receiving health care today. Suggested length is 2,500 words with a minimum of jargon, no abstract, no endnotes except for key references, and no tables or figures.
Narrative Matters papers must be submitted via Health Affairs’ online manuscript processing system . Procedures for submission of Narrative Matters papers are identical to submission procedures for new papers, revised papers, etc., with the exception that Narrative Matters authors are not required to submit abstracts with their papers (enter “none” in the abstract field). Visit the appropriate “submit” links on our Help for Authors main page for additional details on how to submit a paper.
