Podcasts of Narrative Matters essays being recorded
• Narrative Matters is working on a project to turn the past decade’s Narrative Matters essays into podcasts that will be able to be accessed from the Health Affairs Web site and from a division of the popular iTunes web site, called iTunes U (for University). The podcast project is supported by a grant from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation.
Narrative Matters authors can opt to (1) record their essays in a studio near our offices in Bethesda, Maryland, or (2) have professional readers (whom we’ll hire) read the essays.
Each essay will be recorded in two versions: a long one, as it was published in the Narrative Matters section of the journal—about 15 minutes in length—and a shorter, highlighted one, about 3 minutes in length. (Narrative Matters will create the shorter versions and send them to authors for approval.)
Narrative Matters authors who would like to read their own essays and live in the Washington, D.C., area—or will be visiting on personal or professional business— are asked to contact Health Affairs Associate Editor Beth Brophy, podcast producer for Narrative Matters, at bbrophy@projecthope.org to schedule a recording session
