Health Affairs podcasts are now available on iTunes U, a dedicated area within the iTunes Store that offers free educational content.

The Health Affairs iTunes collection includes Health Affairs news events—issue briefings, newsmaker breakfasts, and other discussions about health policy. It also contains recordings of our “Narrative Matters” essays, many of them read by the authors themselves.

Narrative Matters, published with support from the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, are personal essays, based on firsthand encounters with the health system. These “policy narratives,” a form of literary nonfiction, link a story or anecdote to the big picture in health and health care. Whether it’s an experienced doctor recalling a medical mistake, or a patient describing chronic pain, Narrative Matters stories are powerful lessons about health policy.
